Piri Piri Pepper Mix

Our Piri Piri pepper comes from a diverse mix with fruits ranging from 1/2in  to 2in long, and 1/4in to 1/2in wide, slightly larger on average, than a typical Piri Piri. The plants are about 1ft tall and bushy, with many of the small fruits which start green, green-purple or white white, and turn bright red. Also known as an African Bird's Eye Chili, these peppers were brought to Mozambique from South America by the Portuguese and are now popular across southern Africa, as well as Brazil, Portugal, India, Ethiopia, and Nigeria. The fruits are commonly dried and used to to make traditional piri piri sauce.
