For local groups, we offer two workshops at your indoor location.
Seed Saving 101 is a 2-hr introductory class for gardeners who want to begin saving their own seeds. Topics include understanding cross-pollination and isolation distance, harvesting, processing and storing seeds, tips and troubleshooting, and easy crops for beginner seed savers. Time includes roughly an hour of presentation, with time for questions and hands-on fun processing various seed crops.
Why Seed Matters is an interactive presentation that emphasizes why saving seeds is important through the lens of seed sovereignty work. The presentation includes personal storytelling in which all participants are invited to join in. While we talk, participants will collectively process various seed crops.
Local workshops available for the following counties: Lehigh, Berks, Northampton, Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia. A mileage fee will be added for distances over 25 miles. Payment due morning of workshop.
